With a strong background in early childhood education and youth programming, Christa Varley brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role. Prior to joining Carriage House Children’s Center, she served as a Program Director with the YMCA and held educational roles at the Carnegie Science Center, the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, and local school districts.

Christa is passionate about fostering a lifelong love of learning in children. She believes that education serves as the foundation for personal growth, curiosity, and community engagement. Through her work, she strives to create environments where children feel supported, valued, and inspired to learn. Christa values each child’s unique learning style, experiences, and personality, and believes these individual differences strengthen the sense of community that Carriage House Children’s Center works to cultivate every day.
